Charnwood Borough Council ignore advice from Severn Trent Water

The Borough Council have ignored advice from Severn Trent Water and have discharged condition 9 of the planning approval for the Poppy Fields Housing Estate. This means that only Severn Trent Water can now stop Jelson connecting 300 new houses to the main sewer before improvement works takes place to prevent any consequent foul flooding in other parts of our village.

Full details of this reckless action by Charnwood Borough Council are available on the BRAG Campaign page.

Let's also hope that Severn Trent do exercise their power to stop Jelson connecting to the main sewer. Otherwise, many houses along the route of this sewer are at risk.
