Barrow does Autumnwatch

Barrow Open Gardens and Gardening Club Present:

‘Barrow Does Autumnwatch Featuring The Great Autumnwatch  Scarecrow Competition.’

Barrow Open Gardens are busy planning a great Autumn family day out and with the help of a host of Barrow gardeners, groups, artists, crafts- people and musicians we hope to raise lots of money for Rainbows.

In:     The Gap and Baptist Church   Carpark
On:    Saturday 22nd September 2018
From: 12:00 –4:00pm.

The Baptist Church carpark will be transformed, for one day only, into a harvest scene with a pop-up River Soar, a Scarecrow Field and an ‘Autumnwatch’ Barn and the Gap will become  a food hall, children’s area and marketplace.

The highlight of the day will be a free Scarecrow Competition and we invite you to make a scarecrow and enter it. (Bring your entry to ‘The Autumnwatch Barn’ on Saturday morning. Judging will be by public vote so get your entries in early!)

We hope you will join us to experience the exciting range of Autumn themed activity, advice food, plant, produce, harvest, crafts, entertainment, wildlife and information stalls we have on offer.

We are grateful for the help, generosity and talent of our community and local businesses and so now all we need is for you to come along and have a great time and help us celebrate Harvest Barrow Style.  See you there.
